#1 = Masa Inn,
on Poppies Lane 1, Kuta, Bali is a perfect place from which to scout out Bali.
I stayed 4 weeks during Feb/March 2001 and liked it so much made a deal with
the owner (Made Badro) to take one bungalow and name it the "BaliBoyne.com
Bungalow". The whole place is a super clean! It's only 200 meters
from famous Kuta Beach & walking distance to everything. Check out their
web site: www.masainn.com & make sure to request the BaliBoyne.com Bungalow
on their booking page.

Set back in & across Poppies Lane 1 from the Masa Inn is the Ayu Beach Inn. I've stayed four times here (1993-2001) and it's always a treat to see how the Ayu family has grown. The Inn expanded in 1999 to include a 2nd pool and a dozen more bungaloes.

Like the Masa Inn, Ayu Beach Inn is only 200 meters
from Kuta beach, and among a plethora of small shops, bars and restaurants.
From the airport it's only a 3 minute taxi ride.

Poppies Lane 1 is sometimes too narrow for taxi's. If the driver lets you know he doesn't want to venture on it in case he meets an on coming vehicle (resulting in one of them backing up all the way), then just have him drop you off at Poppies Lane1 at the entrance to the beach. It's a short walk to the laneway leading off to Ayu Beach Inn.
